Our Client a large Electric Utility company is seeking a Protection Settings Engineer. This position is a long term contract opportunity. Our client is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced growing team. The right person for this position will be able to perform well under pressure and be adaptable to rapid change and redirection.
Requirements:
- 3+ years direct experience performing fault analysis and developing protection settings for utility transmission systems. Experience at 69kV, 138kV, 230kV, and 500kV is preferred.
- The candidate must have a solid knowledge of transmission pilot schemes, transformer and bus differential schemes, as well as transmission level capacitor bank schemes.
- The candidate should have a firm grasp of NERC PRC requirements especially around loadability (PRC-023). An understanding of NERC CIP requirements is preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with CAPE to run fault studies and familiar with SEL relays and associated SEL programming software.
