Our Client a Semiconductor Construction company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager with 10+ years of experience working with a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: HVAC wet/dry, plumbing, controls and the like. This position is on a direct hire basis.
Our client is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast paced growing team. The right
person for this position will be able to perform well under pressure and be adaptable to rapid
change and redirection.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
-
Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
-
Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred
Responsibilities:
This right person for this position will be responsible for the following:

Performs engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet/dry) systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities

Prepares mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection

Thorough knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems

Plans and schedules discipline deliverables and activities including man-hour estimation, assigning personnel, and supervision of discipline personnel on the Projects

Supports project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultant

Develops manpower and labor cost requirements for a project and monitor them to aid in evaluating project schedule and budget

Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise

Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team

Develops conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems

Works closely with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices

Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated

Ability to manage 10+ staff

Ability to mentor and train junior staff
